Falcon and the Winter Soldier Star Anthony Mackie Reveals Will Smith Punched Him in the Face

Ahead of his appearance in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie has made a name for himself as a major action star through various films and TV series. But when going up against Will Smith, an A-list star in his own right, Mackie was on the receiving end of an unfortunate blow. The Marvel star appeared on The Jess Cagle Show this week to promote his new Netflix film Outside the Wire when he revealed a hilarious story during the film's production that led to an altercation with Smith. While attending his fellow actor's birthday party in Budapest in 2019, Smith ended up accidentally punching Mackie in the face.

"Well, I got so funny story. Will Smith shot, what's the movie. He had a movie come out last year, Gemini Man, and he shot it in Budapest. So, it was his 50th birthday. And my publicist called me and she's like, 'yo Will Smith is having a birthday party in Budapest. Do you want to present his birthday cake to him?'" Mackie said. "So, I'm like, 'Holy shit yes. It's Will Smith. Of course.' So, we're all on stage. Will Smith does like a whole concert I'm on stage with Will Smith doing a concert. I'm losing my mind. Right? So, the cake comes out, we bring the cake out, Will Smith sees me and he goes, 'Hey, Anthony Mackie.' I'm like, Will Smith knows my name. Right? So, I go to like high five. I don't know what I was trying to do, but like, I was trying to hug him and he thought I was coming in for like a high five. So, he like tried to grab my arm and he punched me in the jaw so hard. Like he hit me with a right cross so hard. Then he grabbed me and he's like, 'you're good?' I was like, 'I think so. I think we're in a fight, are we in a fight?' He's like, 'no, no, I'm sorry.'"

When The Jess Cagle show co-host, Julia Cunningham joked that she couldn't believe Smith punched him, Mackie joked that Smith is "an angry human being".

"He punched me in the jaw," Mackie said, laughing. "Will Smith punched me the jaw. He's an angry human being. I know he meant to do it, there is no way you mess up a hug with a punch in the jaw."

Mackie also went on to say that Smith had a pretty solid right cross and joked that he "took a punch from Mohammad Ali" -- Smith played the boxing legend in 2001's Ali.

"Yo, he has a right cross man," Mackie said. "Protect yourself. Cause dude came in. I mean, woo! It was a punch, but I took a punch from Mohammad Ali. I can say it."

Mackie will next be seen reprising his role as Falcon in Disney+'s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and while fans are eagerly awaiting any information they can get about the upcoming Marvel series, when asked if he knew who the new Captain America is going to be, Mackie said no.

"No, we don't know that yet. The show, the idea of the show is basically, you know, and at the end of Avengers: Endgame, Cap decided he was going into retirement and he asked me if I would take up the shield, but at no point in time, did I agree to or say that I would be Captain America," Mackie clarified. "So, the show walks the line of who is going to take up the shield and who's going to be Captain America if Steve isn't coming back."

Obi-Wan Series On Disney Plus: Everything You Need To Know

Obi-Wan Series is a TV show that has been awaited by many fans, and this legend will be coming to screens in a new TV show from Disney. There were rumors about plans to develop an Obi-Wan spin-off, and then actor Ewan McGregor who has previously starred Jedi Master, announced he would return to the role in a new live-action series. During Disney’s D23 Expo he said to fans “It’s been four years of saying ‘well, I don’t know.’ Now I can say ‘yes, we’re going to do it.’” As of writing this, there hasn’t been a release date revealed on the show, but Lucas Film’s Kathleen Kennedy announced all scripts are written and filming will begin in 2020. It will be launching for Disney+, which has already been released in the USA, Canada, and the Netherlands on Tuesday, 12 November 2019.

The release date for Disney+ in the UK hasn’t been announced yet. As for the cast, Ewan McGregor has been confirmed to play Obi-Wan Kenobi once more. He was the one who played the character in the Star Wars prequel trilogy movies, which are The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith. It will be directed by Deborah Chow, which was recently announced by LucasFilm. Chow most recently worked on Star Wars Disney+ series The Mandalorian, has also directed episodes of Mr. Robot, American Gods, Jessica Jones, Fear the Walking Dead, Better Call Saul, and The Man in the High Castle. The series is written by Hossein Amini, the screenwriter behind films and TV shows like McMafia, Drive, The Alienist, 47 Ronin, Snow White, and the Huntsman and Our Kind of Traitor. Chow, Amini, and McGregor will be the executive producers alongside Kathleen Kennedy, Tracey Seaward, and John Swartz. Story of the Obi-Wan series will be taking place eight years after the events of 2005’s Revenge of the Sith, where we last saw Obi-Wan watching over Luke Skywalker, the secret child of Darth Vader, on Tatooine. Ewan McGregor has also revealed Obi-Wan hasn’t quite recovered from the Jedi Cull in Revenge of the Sith. He said in an interview, “It will be interesting to take a character we know in a way and show him… Well, his arc will be quite interesting, I think, dealing with that, the fact that all the Jedi were slaughtered with the end of [Revenge of the Sith]. It’s quite something to get over.” We will definitely be getting some answers on the life Obi-Wan alongside many other questions that are on fans’ minds.

'Mr. Robot' Season 4 Release Date, Trailer, Cast And What To Know About Final Run

Mr. Robot season 4 has unveiled its latest trailer to reveal its release date. The computer hacker drama is finally premiering its final season beginning sunday, oct. 6, on usa network.  As shown in the clips, mr. Robot season 4 will be set during the christmas holiday. It will follow what happened after elliot, played by oscar-winning actor rami malek, sent that destructive email that saw the crash of the economy.  The teaser also has a chilling rendition of "Silent night" as its background music as elliot struggles with his alter ego, mr. Robot, played by christian slater. In trying to ruin the top one percent of the population, one of these personalities warn of what's going to happen should they put their plan in motion. "If you go down this path, it'll never end," mr. Robot is heard telling elliot. "It will always be something else - another symbol to destroy, more people to save. This is an endless war. What you're about to do is crossing a line."

Mr. Robot season 3 delved on how elliot and his alter-ego prepared to unleash their greatest act: the five/nine hack. As creator sam esmail told the hollywood reporter, mr. Robot season 1 to 3 was about learning the real bad guys of the story. "The hack was merely a distraction that was co-opted by these people, and it's finally been revealed and exposed to elliot," esmail said. "In a weird way, the next season will return back to that initial premise of the show and have elliot be motivated by that, with this new clarity."

Mr. Robot season 4 took nearly two years to finish as malek had taken time off from tv production to work on his hit movie bohemian rhapsody. The actor said that despite his big-screen success, he was not eager to quit the small screen. Malek disclosed in an interview with herald live that he asked esmail if there was a way to extend the show when he heard that the writer and show creator had announced the series' end. Esmail, however, had planned on ending the show for good but it will be another shining moment for malek, who said that elliot in mr. Robot season 4 will be dealt with another shock and blow. Mr. Robot debuted on cable in 2015 and received critical acclaims such as the golden globes award and the peabody award. Apart from the cyber-hacking plotline, the show also peaks into clinical depression and social anxiety disorder.

'NCIS' Season 17: Michael Weatherly Hints Possible Return For Ziva And Tony Reunion

There are a lot of speculations surrounding NCIS Season 17 now that Ziva (Cote de Pablo) returns. There are theories Ziva comes back to replace Gibbs (Mark Harmon), while Michael Weatherly hints possible return to reunite with Ziva.
In a video, via CarterMatt, Weatherly seems to be recording a message with a fan, asking if they will watch Ziva's return on the premiere episode.
After that, he questions himself if he will also be returning to the new season. The 51-year-old star then hushes before he says that he cannot talk about it.
By the looks of it, Michael is only trying to be playful about Ziva's return, making the hype stronger. Fans have been clamoring for a Tony/Ziva reunion so that he may be only toying about the idea. However, there is no evidence to support the claim. But, there was no evidence about Ziva's return to the previous season either, and everything came as a surprise.
The showrunners had been sneaky about the big finale reveal by making Pablo went to the set secretly like a ninja. Ziva will reportedly appear in only one NCIS Season 17 episode, which will be the premiere.

However, producers may find a way to make the much-awaited Ziva/Tony reunion to give this couple's followers the closure that they have been asking for. Meanwhile, fan-made theories suggest that Ziva only returns to replace Gibbs.
According to Express, there has been an undying rumor about Harmon's exit. Thus, the show's followers think Ziva is going to be the one that will replace the special agent. The long-standing rumor may happen, and Gibbs may depart from the show. A Redditor claimed Gibbs is now old, and the only what that the series could continue is if Ziva takes his place to lead the team.
User sparkplug_23 suggested NCIS Season 17 writers could write that Ziva went missing for her child's protection, and Tony helped her in hiding. But as Ziva is only confirmed to be seen in one episode, everything remained to be seen.
Fans believe there is a bigger role waiting for Ziva's return after being gone for almost six seasons. She was last seen on NCIS Season 11.
There are reports Harmon only signed up for one more season at the moment. Hence, he could leave after NCIS Season 17 if he wanted to. But as the 67-year-old star has renewed his contract too many times throughout the show's history, he could once again sign up after the upcoming season's end. NCIS Season 17 is set to be out on Tuesday, Sept. 24, on CBS.

'Game Of Thrones' Season 8 Star Sophie Turner Reveals Own Idea of Final Season Finale

Just like most Game of Thrones fans, Sophie Turner, who played Sansa, also has her idea of Season 8 finale. In a new interview, the 23-year-old star talked about the show's critics and revealed her dream ending for the series. "I thought Arya (Maisie Williams) would kill Cersei (Lena Headey)," Turner told The Wrap. "And I would like to have seen Sansa and Cersei reunited, or Arya and Cersei."
To recall, Cersei died with her brother/lover Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) at the pile of rubble when Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) attacked King's Landing with dragon fire in Game of Thrones Season 8. However, Turner knew there were so many ways the show's story could turn out.
But, she felt happy with how things ended for her character and had been very passionate about it. Meanwhile, aside from Turner, Headey, Coster-Waldau, Williams, Clarke, Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Gwendoline Christie (Brienne), Alfie Allen (Theon), and Carice Van Houten (Melisandre) are all nominated for Emmys in different categories for their work in the last and final season.

Turner admitted she was surprised about the nomination, and she was blown away when she learned there were so many of them on the list.
After three months, fans are still fuming about Game of Thrones Season 8 finale, and Turner felt a "little defensive" about it. Although the Dark Phoenix star couldn't deny that the show's followers were "incredible, loyal, and passionate," some of them didn't appreciate the cast's effort to put up the final season. So when people said the cast didn't work hard for the final season, and the writers were terrible, she cleared that most efforts were put into Season 8.
They filmed the last installment for almost 11 months, doing night shoots the most that anyone had ever done.
Fans also felt divided when Game of Thrones Season 8 ended with Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) as the king of the six kingdoms, as Sansa wanted Winterfell to be an independent realm. Elsewhere, Arya went on her way to explore the west of Westeros, while Jon killed Daenerys that resulted in his banish to the Wall. Turner cleared Sansa didn't want the most powerful position in Westeros. Because for her, not everything is about power.

'Snowfall' Season 4 Renewal Announced After Airing Six Episodes From The Third Season On FX

Snowfall had just returned last month. But considering how short the span is for every season of the show, believe it or not, this FX crime drama series is about to reach its third season finale already. The series is now six episodes deep. And with its plot now starting to pick up all the pieces as the seventh episode is now on the way, it is no wonder why most of the fans are already wondering about its future on the network.
Fortunately, the fandom need not wait for its renewal updates as FX has already announced its decision. According to Deadline, Snowfall Season 4 is now sealed and confirmed. Thanks to the show's overall production crew and cast, the crime drama series was able to pull through. Quite certainly, the new season will follow the same format as what the previous seasons had. It will have a total of ten episodes which will start to air a year after the finale.

In terms of its plot, there is a huge chance that it will pick up where the third season would end. But since the current season is still ongoing, it is pretty difficult to make vast assumptions yet. Even so, many fans have continued to make their theories about Snowfall's future plots and storylines.
And based on the general reception, something huge might happen at the end of the third season. Others would say that someone might die.
With the show's overall premise and dynamic, it will not be that surprising if these theories would become realities of the series. Besides, drugs are the sole basis of Snowfall, hence the title. This is also quite justified by Cartermatt since the publication's newest update regarding the series largely talks about "careful planning" and executions of these designs.
But of course, these updates are only based on the ongoing plot and story of the current season. Snowfall Season 3 Episode 7 titled, Pocket Full of Rocks, seemingly appears to set what will happen in the upcoming finale. With Julia's new plan proposals, Franklin's arrival to help Andre, and Gustavo's cunning visions, a lot can happen in one episode. And so much more if four more episodes are remaining for the season. The Pocket Full of Rocks episode for Season 3 is set to premiere on August 21, on FX.

The show hasn’t been renewed for its eighth season yet, but it looks very likely that the night season will be coming out.

According to sources, Fox’s new deal with WWE means that it will be airing new episodes of SmackDown Live starting Friday, October 4. So, the new season will be shifted to a new night.
Last Man Standing began airing on Tuesday nights on ABC back in 2011. After the first season, every season aired on Fridays. After seeing the performance of the show, it was clear that Last Man Standing was attracting a lot of audiences.
Fox has a history of shuffling the shows around and canceling the show. It’s pretty apparent that the show won’t be canceled until the 8th season is finished. They wouldn’t have shifted the show to another time.

The main cast of the show is expected to return for the eighth season of the show. Here is the possible cast:
Tim Allen as Michael “Mike” Baxter
Nancy Travis as Vanessa Baxter
Amanda Fuller as Kristin Beth

So fans are curiously waiting for new developments, but all they are getting is disappointment. They are trying to see the show return ASAP, but it looks like that isn’t the fate. The show is being pushed to 2020, as Fox has officially announced that the show is out of Fall 2019 lineup.
Initially, its Friday slot was given to WWE, but fans were not concerned as they wanted the show back, even if it is not in their favorite time. But now it looks like the fans will have to wait for a while before they see the comedy sitcom back. Tim Allen also commented on the slot change of the show, here is the tweet of him!
