“Honestly na-miss ko yung the old Showtime in general – doing the show with the live audience, yung madlang people. Yung energy ng madlang people nakaka-miss yon, sobrang nakaka-miss yon, ibang klase yon.

“Nagsu-Showtime kami nang walang audience tapos hindi mo alam kung havey ka ba o waley kasi wala namang nagre-react – yung ganun. Hindi mo malaman kung okey yung ginagawa mo o hindi.

“Pangalawa, yung hindi kami makapagbugbugan nina Vhong, nina Jong, hindi nila ako masaktan. Nami-miss ko yung hinaharang nila ako at naghahabulan kami. Lahat kami physical yung hosting namin na ginagawa, nami-miss ko yon.

“It’s never the same, the fun is never the same, ang layo, eh. Sobrang layo at lahat yon nakaka-miss at nakakalungkot pag naiisip ko. Pero we have to survive this challenge at okey na okey ako don,” chika pa ni Vice Ganda.

Samantala, tungkol naman sa magiging entry niya sa 2020 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), mukhang mas matinding challenge ang haharapin nila para mabuo ito ngayong meron pang pandemya.

“May plan ang Viva at Star Cinema for this December, hindi pa lang napa-finalize kung kailan mag-i-start saka yung lahat ng issue na kailangang i-finalize.
“Pero parang lahat plano pa lang. Pero iniisip ko pa, hindi ko alam kung paano isu-shoot,” may pag-aalinlangang sabi ni Vice na ang tinutukoy ay ang “Praybeyt Benjamin 3”.

Pero may naisip na silang materyal para sa movie, “Ang concept nu’ng entry, again hindi pa siya final, pero bibigyan ko na lang kayo ng konting idea. Hindi siya magiging masyadong pambata this time.

“Kasi unlike before, yung past movie ko puro pambagets talaga, eh, di ba, fantasy ganyan. Eh, since hindi naman puwedeng lumabas ang mga bata, ang mga minor papuntang sine so, maia-adjust mo yung concept.

“Sinasabi ko nga sa kanila, so puwede tayo ng love story. Kasi hindi naman kinakailangang pambata na kailangang super wholesome yung movie. Pero definitely it’s going to be a family movie still,” kuwento pa ng komedyante.

Karol G Recovering From ‘Difficult, Painful’ Battle With Coronavirus

Karol G has confirmed she tested positive for the coronavirus. The 29-year-old star shared the diagnosis during an Instagram Live on Monday.

The Colombian songstress revealed that she found out several weeks ago but didn’t want to worry her parents -- one of the reasons she kept it a secret.

"I didn't want to make it public for various reasons,” she said, addressing fans in Spanish. “I didn't want to make it public because my parents are far away. I didn't want to worry anyone. My family and I are very close and do a lot of things together, and under different circumstances, they would most likely be here with me."

"My single ["Ay DiOs Mío"] was also set to come out, and I didn't want any of the headlines to be about me having the virus,” she added.

The "X" singer said that after testing positive for the virus, she immediately decided to self-isolate from her fiancé, Anuel AA, who does not have the illness. Prior to the news, the couple filmed a video for their song, "Follow," in quarantine.

She added that she is now feeling well and is hopeful that her latest test, taken Monday, comes back negative.

“Thank you to everyone who has reached out,” she said. “I did have COVID-19 and it was very difficult, [and] painful, but I'm recuperating.”

"Thank you for the sweet messages and for everyone that has worried about me,” she continued. “All I can [say] is, please take care of yourself. COVID-19 is real. I didn't want to make this news public ... but I'm doing well."

While isolating from Anuel AA will no doubt be difficult, the singer opened up to ET in August last year about the positive aspects of time apart.

"I feel like being apart from each other also helps our relationship and breaks the monotony of things," she said. "Every time we see each other it's like a surprise and I get really excited. So we don't have a [wedding] date right now, but I'm acting as if we're already married."

The couple's wedding was reportedly postponed due to the pandemic.

Karol G is one of several Latin musicians who have tested positive for the virus, including Prince Royce and members of Morat.

Others in the music industry who have contracted the illness include Pink and Babyface.

Miranda Lambert’s ‘Dark Bars’ Lyric Video Captures Nashville’s Struggling Nightlife

Miranda Lambert sets her new single “Dark Bars” to stark images of Nashville’s shuttered nightlife, an industry that has been struggling since both a deadly tornado tore through portions of the city in March and the onset of the coronavirus.

Filmed on location at bars that had closed for the night — or were still shut down because of storm damage or the ongoing pandemic — the lyric video underscores how much the nightlife culture relies on human connection. Without people jostling for space at the bar or holding court on a stool, the rooms lack a beating heart. They’re temples without worshipers. “I’m here for the habit,” Lambert sings, “where nobody knows me/where I can be lonely.”

To capture the desolation, director Steve Jawn (Old Dominion, Travis Meadows) gained access to downtown Nashville staples like Legends and the Stage, and shot the facades — some of them boarded up — of East Nashville haunts 3 Crow, Beyond the Edge, and Drifters. There is a bright spot, however: the clip opens and ends on images of the newly rebuilt Basement East, the popular live venue that was destroyed during the March 3rd tornado.

“Dark Bars,” written by Lambert and Liz Rose is the follow-up to the country singer’s previous single, “Bluebird.” Both appear on Lambert’s 2019 album Wildcard.

P-Valley – Is It Based On A True Story?

Starz’s P-Valley is a story of Black Women who and their life as sex workers. P-Valley also deals with issues like misogyny, homophobia, colorism, classism, racism. It seems like a story about women who are trying to make end meets. Like last year with Hustlers – starring Jennifer Lopez – P-Valley is a story exploring a business that is generally not looked upon as respectful.

The Details that are realized until now are: P-Valley is created by Playwright and showrunner Katori Hall. It is a show with all-women directors. The show is about ambitious and at times misguided women. The scrutiny they undergo due to their different profession. The problems they face with their family. It is probably releasing at a very appropriate time.

P-Valley is a female-empowering show, no doubt about it. With the Black Lives Matter movement going on, it cannot come at a better time. It is not exactly based on a real like story but is a story that portrays real-life happenings. It seems like a show about women by women but for everyone to enjoy.

P-Valley premiered at 9 pm ET/PT on Starz. Given the Sunday night prime spot, the network must expect some good to come out of the show.

P-Valley might give some insight into the life of sex-workers to the viewers. The concept is also based on the American dream and the women who dream it. The show will surely black women who work as sex-workers. It is expected to show that they more than they seem and they do don’t just try to make ends meet but live. P-Valley is the kind of show we need to put things in perspective for the viewers. It is a story that is based on the life that is real.

Demi Lovato Reminisces on Playing Naya Rivera’s Girlfriend on ‘Glee’: 'I’ll Forever Cherish the Opportunity'

Demi Lovato is paying tribute to Naya Rivera. The "I Love Me" singer took to Instagram on Monday to share her memories of the late actress.

"RIP Naya Rivera. I’ll forever cherish the opportunity to play your girlfriend on Glee," Lovato wrote, alongside a slideshow of photos from their time together on the Fox dramedy. "The character you played was groundbreaking for tons of closeted queer girls (like me at the time) and open queer girls, and your ambition and accomplishments were inspiring to Latina women all over the world."

Lovato was a recurring guest star during the fifth season of Glee, in which she played Dani, who has a short-lived romantic relationship with Rivera's Santana Lopez.

"My heart goes out to your loved ones at this time.." Lovato concluded.

Rivera was pronounced dead on Monday, at the age of 33, as her body was discovered after a five-day search.

She was reported missing last Wednesday after she took a boat ride with her 4-year-old son, Josey, in Lake Piru in the Los Padres National Forest in Ventura County, California.

Following her disappearance and death, friends, family and former co-stars have been paying tribute with heartfelt memorials, remembering Rivera's life and legacy. See the video below for more on the outpouring of condolences.

John Legend Gets Real About His Cheating History and How Chrissy Teigen Changed His Ways

John Legend isn't holding back.

The Grammy-winning singer laid it all on the table and opened up about his "history" of cheating in a candid interview on Armchair Expert with podcast co-hosts Dax Shepard and Monica Padman.

"I have a horrendous history of cheating. F--king deplorable... And there's all these great cheating songs on your albums, and I was like, 'I see another fisherman at sea,'" Dax shared, and asked if John had a past similar to his.

"Yes, I did have a history of [cheating]. Definitely in my 20's," the 41-year-old singer responded. "I think what happened for me, you go through a lot of your life in your teens and I was younger than everybody in high school and college, and so I just didn't get a lot of girls. When I started to get that attention, I loved it."

"I escaped 'technically cheating' by keeping my relationship ill-defined. But it was really cheating," he continued. "I definitely was dishonest and selfish... It was happening before I was famous."

The Oscar winner explained that as he entered the spotlight more, he got more "attention" and "took advantage of that, at that time."

However, things changed for John after he met Chrissy Teigen, whom he married in 2013, and shares two kids with: Luna Stephens (4) and Miles Stephens (2).

"At a certain point, you just realize you're happier being honest. You're happier being faithful and being in love with one person," the 41-year-old star expressed. "At a certain point, I just decided that person was Chrissy. I decided I wasn't gonna mess with somebody else anymore."

He said his "whole life" become "lighter" and it felt freeing for him to be honest.

For the "All of Me" singer, there were instant sparks when he first met Chrissy. In fact, they had so much chemistry that they hooked up the first night.

"We've talked about it before, but we had sex the first night and hit it off," John shared. "We were both seeing other people at the time. There was kind of a looseness at the very beginning, but we fell in love not long after that."

When asked by Dax if he ever feels pressured about his relationship, considering he and the Cravings author are one of the most celebrated couples, the 41-year-old put things simply.

"I feel like it almost makes it less likely that I would do anything to f--k it up. Chrissy has 12 million Twitter followers. If I were to do anything, it would be career suicide," he explained. "It would be terrible. It just gives you another reason to not f--k it up."

‘Glee’ Star Naya Rivera Dead at 33

The body of actress Naya Rivera, best known for her role as Santana Lopez on the TV show Glee, was found Monday after going missing in a lake near Los Angeles. She was 33. On Monday afternoon, Sheriff Bill Ayub confirmed Rivera’s death at a press conference. Prior to a press conference Monday afternoon, TMZ confirmed the body was Rivera.

Rivera was pronounced missing Wednesday, July 8th after going boating with her four-year-old son on Lake Piru, in Ventura County’s Los Padres National Forest. Rivera had reportedly rented a boat with her son, Josey Hollis Dorsey, at around 1 p.m. that afternoon. About three hours later, another boater discovered Josey sleeping alone on the boat’s pontoon. Officials said Josey was unharmed and wearing a life vest, while an adult life vest was found on the boat.

At the time, a spokesman for the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said, “There’s no evidence of foul play at this point,” and, “This may well be a case of drowning.” A search and rescue operation was launched and continued throughout the week.

Rivera was born on January 12th, 1987 in Santa Clarita, California, just outside of Los Angeles, and began acting as a child. She scored her first job at age four on Eddie Murphy’s short-lived sitcom, The Royal Family. She spent the next several years picking up guest roles on shows like Family Matters, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Baywatch and Smart Guy.

As she got older, Rivera earned recurring roles on The Bernie Mac Show and made her film debut in Dana Carvey’s 2002 comedy, The Master of Disguise. Into her early twenties, Rivera was picking up occasional guest spots on shows like 8 Simple Rules and CSI: Miami while also working odd jobs, but then, in 2009, her big break came when she was cast as Santana Lopez on Glee.

For the first season, Santana was essentially a supporting character, one of a handful of cheerleaders recruited by Jane Lynch’s Sue Sylvester to infiltrate and bring down the glee club. But the character quickly became a fan-favorite and Rivera was added to the main cast in Season Two.

Santana became a particular focal point for Glee’s devoted online fan base, some of whom began “shipping” her with fellow cheerleader Brittany Pierce (played by Heather Morris) and even coming up with a portmanteau for the couple, “Brittana.” The calls for “Brittana” got so loud on social media that show creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuck decided to bring the characters together in a 2011 episode.

“Honestly, I never thought I’d actually be playing a teen lesbian,” Rivera told the Los Angeles Times in 2011. “I didn’t think it was going to go this far. But I’m glad that it did because there have been a lot of fans who have expressed that they’ve been going through similar situations in their lives. I’ve heard from girls that are in high school, they’re 16, 17, and they’re like, ‘I came out to my mom,’ or ‘I came out to my friends, and thank you for helping me do that.’”

Rivera remained a main character on Glee until it wrapped after its sixth season in 2015. Though as the show neared its end, she began taking on other projects. In 2013, she released her debut single, “Sorry,” featuring then-boyfriend Big Sean, but neither a follow-up nor an album materialized. In 2014, she starred in the horror film At the Devil’s Door, while in 2015 she picked up a recurring role on the Lifetime series, Devious Maids. More recently, Rivera appeared in the 2017 film Mad Families, and she was also a cast member on the YouTube Premium show Step Up.

Hear Kid Cudi, Eminem’s New Song ‘The Adventures of Moon Man and Slim Shady’

Kid Cudi and Eminem have teamed up for new song, “The Adventures of Moon Man and Slim Shady,” which dropped on Thursday at midnight. Kid Cudi’s daughter, Vada, announced the collaboration — which is the first time the rappers have joined forces —  in a video post Kid Cudi shared via Twitter on Wednesday.

In a lyric video for the song, the rappers appear as animated characters as they rap about recovery and current events, among other subjects. “Yeah, it’s been a minute, but I’m back in it,” Kid Cudi raps at the opening of his first verse, which discuss late-night jaunts, his stint in rehab and going through the “dark and the light.” Eminem broaches the topics of the COVID-19 pandemic and police brutality in his verse. “Half of us walking around like a zombie apocalypse,” he raps. “Other half are just pissed off and don’t want to wear a mask.” Later, Eminem raps, “Prayers for George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery/How the fuck is it that so many cops are dirty?” The lyrics also refer to a trilogy that “continues.”

“The Adventures of Moon Man and Slim Shady” is Kid Cudi’s third song of the year, following “Leader of Delinquents” and his collaboration with Travis Scott, “The Scotts.” Beyond music, he has teamed up with Kanye West to voice characters in an upcoming animated show, the Takashi Murakami-directed Kids See Ghosts, which is inspired by their 2018 collaborative album of the same name. The rapper is also set to star in HBO series We Are Who We Are.

In March, Eminem collaborated with Jessie Reyez on her song “Coffin.” He released his 11th album, Music to Be Murdered By, in January, which includes the single “Godzilla.”

Singer and YouTube Personality Poppy Celebrates Her Engagement

Congrats are in order for songstress and YouTube star Poppy! A rep for the 25-year-old social media personality has confirmed to ET that she is engaged.

Poppy, whose real name is Moriah Rose Pereira, also shared the happy news on Twitter on Thursday, by posting three emojis -- a ring, a bride and a party icon.

She also alluded to the engagement with an Instagram story showing a unique ring on her wedding finger on Wednesday. She tagged presumed fiance Eric Ghoste, aka Ghostemane, in the photo.The post prompted a Reddit thread questioning whether she was engaged and speculating about her wedding.

“I think we can all agree the wedding dress is probably going to be absolutely nuts if it happens,” wrote one user.

The musician’s fiancé appears to have been laying low, with no couples photos on her Instagram account.

Earlier in the week, the singer’s tour with the Deftones was confirmed to have been rescheduled to 2021 amid the coronavirus pandemic. The shows were originally scheduled to take place this summer.

Nikki and Brie Bella Say Their Mother Kathy Is ‘Our Mom Again’ Following Brain Surgery

Nikki and Brie Bella have shared an update on the health of their mother, Kathy Colace, who is recovering from surgery to remove a mass on her brain stem. The pregnant twins assured fans that Kathy is back to being “our mom again” following the operation on June 30.

"It's been so nice just to see our mom be our mom again," Brie said on the 36-year-old twins’ latest episode of The Bellas Podcast.

"We're just so happy that she has light at the end of the tunnel," the former wrestler also said.

The girls revealed that Kathy was originally thought to have Bell’s palsy, after experiencing paralysis on one side of her face earlier this year. Her condition worsened in June, with her whole face becoming numb as she lost her ability to taste and became “extremely dizzy.”

Taken to the hospital by her husband, John Laurinaitis, Kathy was found to have a tumor “as big as a blueberry” on her brain stem.

"It was sticking out of her brain stem and it was starting to hit nerves," Nikki said. "It was growing rapidly."

After more than seven hours in surgery, during which Nikki posted she was praying for Kathy, the mass was removed, and the girls were able to visit and have a “great conversation” with her. She now faces six months to a year of recovery.

Nikki also shared that the health journey has been chronicled by cameras. "My mom really wanted the cameras to roll because, obviously, we were all like, 'No!'” she explained. “But my mom's like, 'Think of how many people out there think they have Bell's palsy, or they have certain symptoms and the doctors don't give them MRIs on their brain? And then they find out they have these growths or tumors or cancer, and it's so late in the game.'"

As she heals, Kathy has great motivation to get back on her feet: Both of her girls are expecting babies -- Brie with her husband, Daniel Bryan, and Nikki with Dancing With the Stars pro Artem Chigvintsev.

They talked to ET in April about being pregnant during the coronavirus pandemic. "This isn't what I imagined my first pregnancy to be," Nikki admitted. "I had a really important ultrasound appointment and Artem couldn't come. I had to go by myself. I was literally in the car, crying. I was like, 'Just walk in, you're fine.'"

Anita ‘Lady A’ White Says 'I Am Not Going to Be Erased' Amid Lawsuit With Band Lady A

Anita "Lady A" White says she is "not going to be erased" after the country band, formerly known as Lady Antebellum, changed their name to "Lady A" and sued her. White has been performing as Lady A since 1987, and is now embroiled in a lawsuit with the musical trio, composed of Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and David Haywood, over the moniker.

"I think they always knew what they were gonna do," White tells Vulture in an interview published Thursday. "I was quiet for two weeks because I was trying to believe that it was going to be okay and that they would realize that it would be easier to just change their name, or pay me for my name."

"Five million dollars is nothing, and I’m actually worth more than that, regardless of what they think," she states. "But here we go again with another white person trying to take something from a Black person, even though they say they’re trying to help. If you want to be an advocate or an ally, you help those who you’re oppressing. And that might require you to give up something because I am not going to be erased."

The Nashville singers filed a lawsuit against White on Wednesday for allegedly attempting "to enforce purported trademark rights in a mark that Plaintiffs have held for more than a decade," according to the lawsuit.

The band changed their name on June 11, after reflecting on the Black Lives Matter movement and the ties the word "antebellum" had to America's history of racism and slavery. The group reached out to White last month, and according to the lawsuit, they had productive conversations about both continuing to use the name, until White's new counsel allegedly "delivered a draft settlement agreement that included an exorbitant monetary demand." In a statement to ET, the group says White demanded $10 million.

White says that the first contract the band sent her, on June 30, "had no substance," claiming that it said they would coexist, and the group would "use their best efforts to assist me on social-media platforms, Amazon, iTunes, all that."

"But what does that mean? I had suggested on the Zoom call that they go by the Band Lady A, or Lady A the Band, and I could be Lady A the Artist, but they didn’t want to do that," she notes. When asked about the $10 million in the latest draft her attorney sent on July 3, White explains that it was a request for the necessary resources to support herself and the Black community.

She would use $5 million to rebrand and start over as an artist with more than a 20-year career, without the label and management that the country band has. The other $5 million, she says, would be donated to charities of her choice, including those that provide support to other independent Black artists.

"You don’t get to just come and take because you have that privilege," White tells the publication. "We don’t have that luxury or that privilege, so we need somebody to help us and lift us up."

Amanda Kloots Shares How Son Elvis Kissed Her Phone While Watching Footage of Late Dad Nick Cordero

Nick Cordero’s widow, Amanda Kloots, has shared a heartwarming story about how the couple’s son, Elvis, started kissing her phone while watching videos of his late father. Cordero died on Sunday following a three-month battle with the coronavirus. He was 41.

On Thursday, Kloots took to Instagram to share “the cutest” moment, adding how it “just melted” her heart.

"I was showing Elvis videos of Nick, and this one video was Nick talking, like leaving a voicemail message for a friend, but he had it saved on his phone,” she said. “And Elvis saw it and smiled and -- I'm not even kidding you -- leans into the phone to give his dad a kiss, and then kept going.”

“I kept playing the video again and he kept trying to press the button, and he just kept going in and out, kissing the phone and kissing his dad,” Kloots continued. “My heart, of course, just melted. But in a way, it just made me feel so good because it made me feel like he recognizes Nick. He knows who he is and he recognizes his dad, even though it's been over three months.”

Kloots also shared a video of Elvis watching another clip, showing the Broadway star thanking fans for purchasing his single, “Live Your Life.”

During his 94-day hospital stay, Kloots performed the song in honor of Cordero daily on social media. On Monday, she teared up after performing the tribute one last time.

On Wednesday, Cordero's close pal, actor Zach Braff, discussed the sad loss and shared details of the illness on his podcast, Fake Doctors, Real Friends.

"For clarity’s sake, he didn’t have COVID-19 anymore. But what COVID did to Nick is what it does to a lot of people, it comes in and wreaks havoc on your body," Braff explained. "Then it leaves and you don’t have it anymore, but you’re left with what the doctors called ‘lungs that look like Swiss cheese.'"

"He just deteriorated, deteriorated, deteriorated, until the point where they put him on the ventilator and then he never came back," he added.

Brie Larson Kicked Out Her Boyfriend Over Super Mario Galaxy

A few days ago, Brie Larson made her debut on YouTube. The Captain Marvel star launched her own channel and, to the surprise of no one, her first video includes a number of references to her passion for video games. Larson is a major fan of Animal Crossing: New Horizons on Nintendo Switch, as well as games like Pokemon and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. In the video, Larson even describes an incident where she kicked her boyfriend out of her house while trying to complete Super Mario Galaxy's final level! While that might seem a bit rash, it's definitely the kind of situation that some gamers can relate to!

"He said that I was taking it too seriously! I threw him out of my house," said Larson, laughing.

In addition to Super Mario Galaxy, Larson also talks about her interest in other games, as well. There are, of course, references to Animal Crossing, but the actress also revealed that she is a fan of Fortnite, as well.

Larson's actions are at least somewhat understandable. After all, Super Mario Galaxy is one of the most beloved titles in the Mario franchise. Released in 2007 on the Nintendo Wii, the game was an immediate critical darling. While the title has yet to be ported to a modern platform, Super Mario Galaxy did get a direct follow-up in 2010 in the form of Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Of course, if rumors are to be believed, a whole new generation of gamers will get an opportunity to experience Super Mario Galaxy for themselves in the near future. Super Mario Galaxy is one of a handful of older Mario games rumored to be on the way to Nintendo Switch. As of this writing, Nintendo has yet to confirm these rumors, but it's believed that the game will arrive alongside games like Super Mario Sunshine. The whole thing is supposedly part of the Mario franchise's 35th anniversary. It remains to be seen whether or not this is anything more than a rumor at this time, but it seems like a lot of fans, Brie Larson included, would be more than happy to see it be the case!

Veteran Broadway star and Blue Bloods actor Nick Cordero has died due to complications from COVID-19. He was 41. The Tony-nominated actor had spent weeks in Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center intensive care unit before passing away Sunday morning.

After initially being diagnosed with what doctor's thought was pneumonia, Cordero had his right leg amputated due to the infection and was on a list to receive a double-lung transplant. Cordero and his family had been living in Los Angeles due to the actor's new role as Dennis Dupree in an LA-based showing of Rock of Ages on Hollywood Boulevard.

Cordero's wife Amanda Kloots first revealed the news Sunday night in a post on her Instagram page. "God has another angel in heaven now," Kloots' post reads. "My darling husband passed away this morning. He was surrounded in love by his family, singing and praying as he gently left this earth."

"I am in disbelief and hurting everywhere. My heart is broken as I cannot imagine our lives without him," she adds. "Nick was such a bright light. He was everyone’s friend, loved to listen, help and especially talk. He was an incredible actor and musician. He loved his family and loved being a father and husband. Elvis and I will miss him in everything we do, everyday."

The Broadway star's Tony nomination came in 2014 for his role as Cheech in Bullets Over Broadway, a musical adaptation of Woody Allen's film of the same name. On the small screen, Cordero played Victor Lugo on Blue Bloods. He also starred in Zach Braff's indie flick Going in Style in 2017. Cordero's family had been staying on Braff's property earlier this year.

Cordero is survived by his wife, Amanda, and their son Elvis, born last June.
